Checking in With my Uptown Holiday Windows

My last project at Uptown United was filling nearly 200-feet of the Gerber Building’s window space with hand-cut words and shapes to help promote Uptown for the Holiday Season. When running errands in the area, it was gratifying to see my work up three months later, still spreading cheer to the corner of Broadway and Wilson!

Now vacant, the Gerber Building was the historic station house for the Wilson Stop and before that was a mini-Union station where the L stopped and forced commuters to switch rail and would take travelers as far North as Green Bay. Current plans call for a co-op grocery store, for which a group of volunteers are trying to raise funds.
